Local Real Estate Brokerage Connects Properties with Clientele Across the Nation and World
SKY Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury real estate firm based in Sarasota, FL, participated in an orientation conference held for companies that are part of the prestigious Sotheby’s International Realty® network of brokerages. The firm, which joined the network in October 2004, attended workshops on exclusive Sotheby’s International Realty® business and marketing resources and how to make full use of an association with the venerable, 260-year-old auction house.
“The opportunity to network with peers from around the country at this conference was an incredible, invaluable experience,” said SKY Sotheby’s International President Chad Roffers. “We received two multi-million dollar referrals within a week following the conference.”
The conference was held Feb. 1-4 for 18 Sotheby’s International Realty® companies from across the country, as well as Canada and Costa Rica.
“This terrific conference allows us to go forward and serve our clients with the world-class real estate services they deserve,” said Michael R. Good, president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates Inc. “We are proud that such fine firms are carrying the prestigious Sotheby’s International Realty name. Our network provides unrivaled access to qualified people and distinctive properties around the world. We are committed to maximizing the benefits our clients receive from doing business with us.”
The conference began with a networking session at the world-renowned Sotheby’s auction house in New York City and featured a lecture by Sotheby’s Executive Vice President Hugh Hildesley, who spoke on the auction house’s rich heritage in selling world-famous paintings, sculptures and collectibles. Attendees learned how to provide clients access to exclusive auction house benefits, such as appraisal services for fine art, furniture and jewelry that may be part of homes and estates they represent.
The conference also included workshops on the Sotheby’s International Realty® referral program and a new Internet site currently under development, initiatives that will better connect clients’ properties with prospective buyers from across the world.
Attendees also learned how to effectively use strategic office resources such as the Sotheby's International Realty® Value Circle, an alliance of business vendors that reduces time and increases savings for clients.
“I recognized the tremendous resources that Sotheby’s offers prior to our becoming an affiliate,” Roffers said. “The conference reconfirmed it—Sotheby’s’ and Cendant’s leadership in the luxury market gives our clients and our firm a distinct competitive advantage.”
