A native of New Jersey and former resident of New York City, Schulz earned his bachelor’s degree at Brown University in Providence, R.I. Upon graduation, he joined the investment bank of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) in New York, N.Y., working his way up to majority partner of a million-dollar production team.
