SKY Sotheby's International Realty, the Sarasota-based luxury real estate brokerage firm, said husband-and-wife team Matt and Maureen Morris have joined the company.
They will work out of the downtown Sarasota office, 1237 Gulf Stream Ave.
The couple have lived in Sarasota for more than 30 years.
As SKY Sotheby's agents, they meet and exceed the following criteria: are ranked in the top 10 percent of the local real estate board, have average real estate transactions of $750,000 or more, and list at least 12 properties every year.
They specialize in commercial real estate as well as waterfront and west-of-the-trail residential properties in Sarasota.
Matt Morris, originally from Michigan, became a licensed Realtor in Florida in 1979, while Maureen Morris, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., earned her real estate license in 1980. They worked for several real estate firms before launching their own company, Morris Group South, in 1984.
In 2003, they joined ERA Mount Vernon Realty to sell both commercial and residential real estate as a team.
During their time at ERA, they earned the company's Real Estate Leadership Award (ERA's highest honor) in 2005, placing them in the top 5 percent of agents nationwide for the ERA franchise.
